Luke Reynolds is a multi-instrumentalist, artist, writer, and producer. He is a frequent collaborator with producer John Congleton.

The sixth generation native Vermonter grew up in a geodesic dome built by his parents in 1970. After 20 years in Nashville, Wyoming, Topanga Canyon, Portland, and Brooklyn, he moved home to build a house with his dad, and is currently 28 months into building out a new studio, designed by famed acoustician Martin Pilchner.

As a session guitarist and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, synths, keyboards, tapes, programming, pedal steel), he’s played on records with Sharon Van Etten, Adrian Utley, Kesha, Regina Spektor, The Staves, Neko Case, Tegan and Sara, Rick Rubin, Willie Nelson, Ghost, Miranda Lambert,  Sarah Jarosz, James Gadson, and Phosphorescent.

Since 2010, he is a member of the acclaimed alternative rock band Guster, co-writing Evermotion (produced by Richard Swift), Look Alive (produced by Leo Abrahams and John Congleton) and Ooh La La (produced by Josh Kauffman and Ron Aniello).

Recent projects include collaborations with Adrian Utley of Portishead (No End In Sight), and a new group-project with well known musicians Joey Waronker (Beck, Atoms For Peace, Oasis) and Zac Rae (Death Cab For Cutie, Fiona Apple).

Art and creative inspirations include James Turrell, Annie Ernaux, Brian Eno, Richard Swift and Larry Bell. Interests include biathlon, architecture, history of Arctic exploration, elk hunting, and Iceland.

Based in Vermont where he lives with his wife, daughter, and border collie x malamute.
