www.picturesandsound.com up and running!

Hey everyone.

The big news is that our dot com site is up and running! Right now we’ve put up a temp site that will serve us well until I finish all the new paintings and art for the album and we can then overhaul all sites with the same visual theme! Dope.

I just sent out this blast on my other two sites, so for those who’ve been reading this blog, the news below will sound familiar, but for the rest of you, please read on to catch up with what’s been going on here. I’m so stoked!

Here you go…

I’m proud to announce a new project I’ve been working on for the past several years, Pictures And Sound.

We are currently in Nashville Tennessee recording our debut record produced by Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Tom Waits, Clinic, Kings Of Leon, Mute Math), set for release on Vanguard in late summer 2008. This album has so far provided in its entirety, perhaps the most fun and challenging experiences of my life. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.

The band is Dave Wilder on bass (Macy Gray, Ghostface Killer, Liz Phair), Pete McNeal on drums (Jem, Guru, Redman, Ricki Lee Jones, DJ Z-Trip) and me on everything else.

You can access everything like facebook, myspace, etc. thru our dot com site:

In other news, I spent this past fall on the road playing lead guitar, pedal steel and percussion in my friend Brett Dennen’s band, supporting our friends in Guster and The John Butler Trio.

I’ll also be heading to Europe at the end of March to start touring as a band member with the leader of The Gotan Project’s new side project, The Moonshine Sessions, which I’m really excited about.

You can listen to the “Robag’s Verlan Luna’s Song Rework” single which I sang on by first going to moonshinesessions.com, then clicking on music, then clicking on Remixes, then clicking on Luna’s Song. Turn it up.

Thanks for all your support during the writing of this album!

LOVE TO ALL.

Luke
